Claros strong Password guidelines
A strong password is required when creating your Claros account. Creating and using strong passwords is an important part of your security and responsability.
This Password guideline applies to any of your Claros Subscriptions: Claros Collect; Mobile Sensor Management
  • Make sure your new password is very different from your old ones.
  • Never give out your password or share it wiht anyone else. You are responsable for all activity that occurs with your account.
  • Keep your password Secret
  • Update your password every 3 months!!!

Password requirements:

1. Requires at least one of each of the following:
  • Upper
  • Lower
  • Number
  • Symbol
  • Must be at least 6 characters long, max 50 characters

2. Password Reuse and Expiration

  • Do not allow reuse of passwords for 2-years
  • Passwords expire after 3 months

3. Password Change Workflow

  • User clicks on Forgot Password (Watch tutorial video)
  • User receives email
  • User clicks on link in email and is taken to a secured page where a new password is created.

4. User Lockout

  • After the 5th failed login attempt in a row the account will be locked.
  • If your account is locked, you cannot access the system.
  • A user with the Unlock Account Permission can unlock a locked user account.
  • An email notification is sent to both the locked-out user and the tenant administrator(s).

5. Password Storage

  • Passwords are stored with one-way hashing.  
  • Passwords cannot be decoded, they must be reset.  
  • It is not possible to recover a user password.
