Question
What is the difference between cycle time and response time on the APA6000 High Range (HR) Hardness analyzer?
Summary
Difference between cycle time and response time for the APA6000 HR Hardness analyzer.
Answer
The cycle time for the APA6000 HR Hardness analyzer is 8.2 minutes. The response time for the APA6000 HR Hardness is < 17 minutes. This difference is due to the sample being pulled through a ceramic filter which has a large permeable area. Due to this large permeable area it takes between 1 and 2 cycles for the filter to be purged of the old sample. This filter is used to protect the rotary valve and thus cannot be bypassed.
