Answer
Yes this is possible. 
For exampled a colder temperature could slow the chemical reaction and cause low results.
Most methods are completed accurately when the sample temperature is  between 20 and 25 ° C (68 to 77 °F). 
Methods which are extremely temperature sensitive will have a note regarding any special temperature requirements in the full procedure.
