Question
How do you enter Flo-Dar ultrasonic level programming information into the FL900?
Summary
How do you properly enter Flo-Dar ultrasonic level programming information into the FL900?
Answer
Please see Article Link   prior to completing the following section.
  1. Transducer Type
    • The FLO-DAR has two kinds of Ultra-sonic sensors, a Standard (0-60 in) and a Long Range (0-20 ft).  The default is Standard.  Select the sensor you have.
  2. Sensor Height
    • This is the distance from the bottom of the channel to the top of the frame (next to where the Ultra-Sonic sensor is).  Or, it can be:  (Pipe ID) + (the distance from the interior crown of the pipe to the top of the frame).  See dimension "2" in the picture below.

  1. Sediment
    • Enter the amount of sediment/silt in the pipe.  Measure up in the pipe where the FLO-DAR radar signal is hitting.
  2. Level Calibration
    • "Level Calibration" is a correction factor to make the Level reading from the FLO-DAR match the Level reading taken manually.
    • For example, if the manual (actual) reading is 6" and the FLO-DAR reads 5", then the "Level Calibration" should be set to 1.00"
    • Or if the manual (actual) reading is 6" and the FLO-DAR reads 7", then the "Level Calibration" should be set to -1.00"
