Answer
  1. After connecting to the FL900 with your computer, click on the "Communications" button at the top of the page between "General Settings" and "Sensors."
  2. Look below "Remote Settings."
  3. In the box for the "Server IP Address," enter the address you want your FL900 to communicate with.
    • If you are using Hach's FSData website (fsdata.hach.com), the Server IP Address is:  64.90.124.71
  4. The next line is "Primary Call Interval" and "Secondary Call Interval".  Enter how often you would like the FL900 to call in to FSData website.  Pick the time from five minutes to one day.

  5. The next line is "Server Verification Code" (SVC).  The SVC code must be obtained from Hach and is unique to your project.  Enter the code.
    • If you do not have the SVC code, call Hach Flow Tech Support at 800 368 2723 ext 6063.  They can assist you.
  6. "SMS Service Center" and "SMS to Email Gateway" can remain blank.
  7. "Time Zone"  Click on the arrow and select the appropriate time zone from the list.
  8. "Latitude"  Enter the latitude. 
    • Make sure to enter N or S or you will be in the wrong hemisphere.
    • Note  that the units are degrees, followed by minutes to 3 decimal places.
  9. "Longitude"  Enter the Longitude.
    • Make sure to enter E or W or you will be in the wrong hemisphere.
    • Note that the units are degrees, followed by minutes to 3 decimal places.
  10. "Datum" and "Coordinates" should be grayed out.
  11. The "Local Settings" are for communicating non-wireless.
