This path length of a Lachat flow cell is determined by the color that appears on the labelled side of the flow cell.  A green color indicates a 10 mm flow cell, Flow Cell Assembly (Product # 31933).  A purple color indicates a , Flow Cell Assy, 1mm Quartz (Product # 24950).

Identifying by color is recommended.  Current flow cells are labelled with the path length in mm.  Older flow cells were labelled with the path length in cm but no units were given.  Though the 10 mm flow cell may be labelled 10.00 or 1.000 it will always have the green color.

The standard Detector Assy, QC8500 (Product # 85080) can accommodate both a 1 mm and 10 mm flow cell.  The 10 mm flow cell Product # 30933 is the standard flow cell used with the majority of Lachat methods. The 1 mm flow cell is quartz and only used with specific methods that call for it.

A 20 mm flow cell, Assy, Flow Cell, 2CM (Product # 58111) is also available.  It requires a special detector to accommodate it, Assy, Detector, 2cm (Catalog Number/Order Code 58025).  This cell is about twice the height so is fairly easy to discern from the other flow cells.
