PIB 37-119 Orbisphere 3650EX Design Changes to be RoHS and ATEX/IECEx Compliant
Orbisphere 3650EX Design Changes to be RoHS and ATEX/IECEx Compliant; Hach Process; Global Distribution
-INTRODUCTION: Some design changes (electronics and mechanics) were done on the portable Orbisphere 3650EX to be RoHS and ATEX/IECEx compliant as per last revisions of the norm.
-KEY MESSAGES/SUMMARY: The analogue and digital boards are now combined on one board only. The design of the electronic boards has been changed to be RoHS compliant. A new service kit has been created to repair the Orbisphere 3650EX on the Hach bench facilities:
DG33590 containing the unique electronic board.
Two minor mechanical changes have been implemented to pass the ATEX/IECEX certification:
- A new conductive material is necessary for the handle grip; the old blue grip is now replaced with a black grip.
- The keypad needs also to have some conductivity: a conductive film is added on the current keypad making it a bit more shining.
- Basic User Manual and Full User Manual have been updating to reflect changes for the new certifications.
