Question
What changes can be made to Omnion data after a Lachat run is complete?
Summary
Editing Lachat data post run
Answer
If the samples are being reported for compliance, the auditor or regulatory authority for the laboratory should be consulted to verify if adjusting data after it is generated is acceptable. Documenting what was changed and why is recommended and may be helpful.
Changes must be performed after the run has finished. They cannot be performed while the run is still active and data is still being generated.
  • Peaks can be reintegrated when it is apparent they are not being integrated properly.
  • The sample IDs and the known concentrations of standards can be edited if they were not entered properly prior to starting the run.
  • The calibration can be edited and/or replaced.
Peaks are not being integrated properly by the Lachat software. Is there an Omnion software setting that can be adjusted to resolve this?

Can the sample IDs in the Lachat Omnion software be changed after the samples are run?

Can the known concentrations of standards be changed in the Lachat Omnion software after the samples have already been run?

Can a Lachat calibration be edited after the run?
