Question
Can UVAS be used to correlate a Sulfide measurement?
Summary
It is not possible to correlate a sulfide measurement by using UVAS.
Answer
Sulfide is an inorganic component. It is not possible to correlate a sulfide measurement by using UVAS. You may be able to determine a correlation to parameters like COD, TOC, DOC, BOD, e.g. dissolved organic components that absorb UV light at 254nm wavelength.  UVAS measures UV absorption, it is not a COD, TOC or BOD sensor. If TOC results are required for complying with a regulation or NPDES permit, an online TOC analyzer is the only solution.
