Question
Are sodium nitroprusside and sodium nitroferricyanide the same compound?
Summary
Sodium nitroprusside and sodium nitroferricyanide.
Answer
Sodium nitroprusside is also referred to as sodium nitroferricyanide. Sodium nitroferricyanide is referenced in the SDS forms for reagents used in the ammonia salicylate methods.

That being said, the full composition for each reagent is not always listed in the SDS forms. This is discussed in the article titled, Do Safety Data Sheets (SDS) list all of the ingredients in section 3 for composition?
