Question
What is the difference between contact and non-contact liquid detect on an AS950 sampler?
Summary
Difference between contact and non-contact liquid detect
Answer
A standard contact liquid detect means that the sample passes the sensor directly. The advantage is an exact liquid detection, but the sensor can be damaged e.g. by gravel or stones.
A non-contact liquid detector option is available for customers
that demand that everything that comes into contact with the sample be replaced to reduce the risk of cross contamination. T the liquid pass the sensor indirectly through the suction tubing.
