What is the purpose of the pressure regulator on the APA6000 analyzer?
APA6000 analyzer backpressure regulator information
The design of the APA6000 colorimeter requires that air bubbles be eliminated as much as possible. Even small bubbles can upset light transmittance through the sample, resulting in erroneous or rejected readings. The backpressure regulator on the sample waste tube maintains approximately 20 PSI pressure on the sample. This pressure helps to keep gasses dissolved in the sample (instead of forming bubbles) as it passes through the colorimeter.
