What is the procedure for replacing the filling solution in a refillable pH probe?

Remove old/contaminated filling solution in the probe by tilting the solution back towards the filling hole, a pipet such as Pipet, Sterile, Transfer, 15/pk (Product # 2232512) may be used to remove the solution.

Using a transfer pipette, add some deionized (DI) water, such as Water, Deionized, 100 mL (Product # 27242) to the probe through the filling hole.

Shake the probe to rinse off the inside of the probe with the DI water.

Use a transfer pipette to remove the DI water in the same way the filling solution was removed.

Repeat steps 2-4 two additional times.

Add a small amount of filling solution (See What is the correct storage (and filling) solution for an IntelliCAL™ pH probe?).

Shake the probe to rinse off the inside of probe of residual DI water with the filling solution.

Remove this small amount of filling solution with a transfer pipette.

Refill fully with fresh filling solution.
