The sample would need to have at least 1mg of water at its detection limit with an upper limit is 100mg of water. Percent moisture content range will then depend on sample amount used. The sample amount should not exceed 20g of sample. Range in Percent moisture content could be up 100% moisture content if the sample amount used is 0.1g or lower. For the lower limit, generally volumetric Karl Fischer is used for applications that contain 0.1% moisture content and higher, and for anything below 0.1% it would be recommended to do Coulometric titration. This makes it impossible to determine. What would be recommended is to run standards.
