Question
Can a FP360 detect Benzene, Toluene, or Xylene?
Summary
FP360 detect Benzene, Toluene, or Xylene
Answer

The answer is NO. The probe cannot distinguish between different single aromatic components, e.g. benzene, xylene, Tolune and total aromatics. This will only work with grab samples and lab analysis.

In addition, the probe is designed for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon detection (PAH). Benzene, Toluene and Xylene are monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and thus the probe cannot detect these components well.
