Question
Is there a bubble trap or a need for a bubble trap for the TU5300/TU5400 (TU5) process turbidimeter?
Summary
TU5 turbidimeter installation and set up.
Answer
The TU5 deals with bubbles in two ways:
- An improved bubble rejection algorithm over the 1720/FT660 sc series turbidimeters.
- A supplied flow regulator that is installed on the instrument outlet to create back pressure and thus discouraging formation of micro-bubbles.

During testing of 35 beta sites for 1.5 years, bubbles were not an issue. However, if a customer has the need to have a bubble trap, they can order Catalog Number/Order Code LZY828.99.00002.
