What will foul or poison the membrane cap on the chlorine sensor?
Summary
CL10sc and chlorine sensor fouling
Answer
Lime, rust (from iron), manganese dioxide (MnO2), fats, oils, suspended particles, abrasive particles, surfactants (detergents, soap, etc.) will all foul membranes.
Low chlorine dosage is not an issue, but the sensor cannot be used continuously in dechlorinated water

Interferences:   Free chlorine sensor - ozone, chloramines, chlorine dioxide, and chalk deposits.
Total chlorine sensor - ozone, chlorine dioxide, and chalk deposits.
