Question
At what salinity level does Hach recommend the Seawater version of the Ultraturb sc?
Summary
Ultraturb sc Seawater version
Answer
Compared to the Seawater version, the Plus version has more material made from stainless steel that would come in contact with the sample; the highest chloride content that’s recommended even at non-conservative level with stainless steel is 500 mg/L. To be on the safe side, the Plus version is only recommended if the user could guarantee that their chloride concentration would always stay below 7 grains per gallon (gpg) or 125 ppm Chloride.
