Question
What will happen if one attempts to calibrate a pH Analyzer when the sensor and calibration buffers are at different temperatures?
Summary
pH/ORP sensor calibration
Answer
The calibration curve will be offset if the sensor and calibration buffers are not at temperature equilibrium. The probe and controller may not accept the calibration if it detects drift in the temperature reading beyond normal calibration limits. It is recommended that the probe and calibration solution be the same temperature to minimize the effect on the calibration.
