Question
What does it mean when 'Not Authorized' is displayed on the 924x Sodium analyzer?
Summary
924x Sodium analyzer 'Not Authorized' message.
Answer
The 'Not Authorized' message means the instrument has not made at least one complete measurement cycle. This must take place before calibration can be successfully performed.  Please wait until the measurement status bar has completed the measurement on the main screen before initializing the calibration.  If the analyzer gives the 'Not Authorized' message during calibration but the analyzer has been running and the analyzer functions well otherwise, cycle power to the analyze then wait 15 minutes upon restart before trying to calibrate again.

For the 9240 multi-stream analyzer, changing the display requires a new key in order to properly program the board for the number of streams it has.  This is a service only procedure.  If the board is changed but not re-programmed, upon trying to set the number of channels it will display 'Not Authorized.'
