Question
What are the appropriate standard values for calibration on the 9240 and 9245 Sodium Analyzers?
Summary
924x Sodium Analyzer Calibration
Answer
The standard must be 1000 times higher than the sodium concentration of the sample. The “normal” sodium standard used in the analyzer is 10 mg/L (10,000 ug/L).
Automatic standard additions prepare 100 and 1000 ug/L concentrations.
If you use a 100 mg/L standard, the prepared standards would be 1 and 10 mg/L.
If you use a 1000 mg/L standard, the prepared standards would be 10 and 100 mg/L.
The highest concentration the 9245 allows you to enter is 2000 mg/L, so the prepared standards would be 20 and 200 mg/L.
