Question
Can the Troemner weights, which are ASTM Class 1 Certified, be considered equivalent to any other E1, F1, or M1 certifications?
Summary
Troemner weights and E1, F1, M1 certifications
Answer
the Wieght set, Alloy 8 metric Precision Calibration, ASTM Class, 1, 100g - 1mg (Product # 2617600) are not equivalent to E1, F1, or M1 certifications, which are higher class certifications. More information on these certifications can be found on the manufacturers site. These weights (ASTM Class 1) are equivalent to OIML Class E2 however. Sample certificates can be viewed here. Tolerances are different between the classes so they do not have equivalency. More info on this can be found here.
