Question
Will the SL1000 Portable Parallel Analyzer™ (PPA) display a number if the result is below the detection limit?
Summary
SL1000 Portable Parallel Analyzer™ (PPA) detection limit
Answer
For many of the tests on the SL1000 Portable Parallel Analyzer™ (PPA) there is both an MDL (method detection limit) and MQL (method quantitation limit). If a sample is below the MDL, the instrument will display an under range warning. However, the instrument will still display a number, though it may not be accurate. For samples with concentrations above the MDL but below the MQL, the instrument will show a number without any error messages.
