Question
What type of UV light must be used with the Benzotriazole/Tolytriazole test?
Summary
UV digestion for Benzotriazole/Tolytriazole method
Answer
The test requires oxidation with a UV light. Hach carries a short wave pen light for use in this test. The lamp needs to be in the sample during digestion. Some customers have used the larger lamps by directing the light at the sample cell, but in this case, the operator should perform an accuracy check, both standard addition and sample spike to insure complete recovery
