Question
Which range/sample cells should be used on the low range/high range DR300 for chlorine?
Summary
Correct sample cell for use in the DR300 for chlorine
Answer
When using the DR300™ for Chlorine (Product # LPV445.97.00110), if the expected chlorine concentration of the sample is below 2 mg/L then the low range and Sample Cell: 1" Round Glass 10 mL (Product # 2427606) should be used. If the concentration is above 2 mg/L, use the high range mode and Sample Cell: 1" Round Plastic 10 mL with 1 cm Pathlength (Product # 4864302).

Be sure that the correct procedure is being followed. For more information, please see Why are the results different between the low and high range program on the DR300 for chlorine? and The Pocket Colorimeter™ II or DR300 came with glass and plastic sample cells. Which ones should be used?

*This information also applies to the Pocket Colorimeter II™ for Chlorine (Product # 5870000)
