Is the Hach nitrate ISE method EPA compliant?
Using the Nitrate ISE for EPA reporting
Hach method 8359 for nitrate in drinking water is equivalent to Standard Methods SM 4500-NO3-D but is not approved or accepted for NPDWR. You must consult with your regulator if you wish to use this probe for reporting purposes.

Hach method 8358 for nitrate in wastewater is also equivalent to SM 4500-NO3-D which has been approved under the Method Update Rule since 2007 for wastewater.

Because both of these methods are EQUIVALENT and not approved or accepted, you must check with your regulator before reporting these results.
