Question
What is the expected life of Hach electrodes?
Summary
Expected lifespan of a pH electrode
Answer
This is impossible to determine as any electrode will have it's life expectancy vary depending on factors like sample type, frequency of use, and maintenance. Most customers can get about a year on gel filled pH and ORP electrodes, about 1-2 years on refillable pH and ORP electrodes, and about 2 years for combination ISEs (Ion Selective Electrodes). Although there is not guarantee that all customers will able to get that much use out of their electrodes before they would need to be replaced, and some customers can get more.
