Question
Can the 25 mL powder pillows be used with a Hach method that calls for 10 mL powder pillows?
Summary
25 mL vs 10 mL powder pillows
Answer
Reagents for many methods used with Hach spectrophotometers were reduced at one time from a 25 mL to 10 mL size to minimize reagent consumption and disposal costs. Reagents for a 25 mL sample size can be used in place of 10 mL reagents for all but a few methods.

Do not use 25 mL powder pillows in place of 10 mL pillows for the following tests:
When substituting 25 mL powder pillows for 10 mL pillows, be sure to add the 25 mL reagents to 25 mL of sample, rather than to 10 mL sample. Do not use 25 mL reagents with Test 'N Tube methods unless they are specified in the procedure.

The same logic follows when using larger powder pillows (10 or 25 mL) with the test kits that normally use the 5 mL pillows.
