Question
What is the correct way to clean the sensor on a dissolved oxygen LDO® probe?
Summary
Cleaning the sensor on a dissolved oxygen LDO® probe
Answer
Wipe the probe with a soft, wet cloth to remove deposits. For stubborn deposits, use a dilute detergent solution, rinse well, and soak in tap water for approximately 10 minutes. Do not use organic solvents or abrasives because these will destroy the sensor.

Alcohol can be used to clean the probe as long as the probe is not submerged for more than 2 minutes and cleaning is not more than 2 times per day. This information can be found in a technical note along with a troubleshooting and maintenance guide that can be found on the Hach website.
