Answer
The 19th and later editions of, "Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater" omitted the nitrogen ammonia nessler method, previously 4500-NH3-C. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) currently recognizes the Hach Nitrogen-Ammonia Nessler method 8038 for wastewater reporting.

Confirm USEPA acceptance of any Hach method with local regulatory agencies prior to use and reporting.
